Will You Be There ?

Anna Nalick

Dear Diary,

What are we without someone who cares, someone who listens and shares our pain? We are only but abandoned souls that seek shelter and protection. Lost and gone astray. Though we might have all that we need in life, but without that special someone by your side, you are not whole. A friend, a partner, a lover, a brother or a sister, to share joy and pain… to be there for you when your world falls apart and helps you put it back together!

Sometimes, talking about your problems to someone doesn't mean that you want or need help. The only help you are asking for in this case is "let me know that you are there for me". Giving advice won't help here, because there's nothing you can do in the first place. But if you just lean your shoulder, open your ears, and tell your friend that things will be okay, that is the greatest help you might provide. Especially for girls, girls need that. When a girl complains and cries because of a non-specific reason, she needs no advice, she needs no help, she just needs someone to care for her and be there for her.

Unlike men, they keep everything inside to themselves, because they know that they can deal with their own problems and no one else can. But when they talk about what's bothering them and the problems they have, then they are asking for advice!

Of course that is not always the case. So open up your ears and know your partner well so you can deal with them properly.

Lonely Flower Standing Head High

Dear Diary,

Though being alone and lonely
She's still blooming and growing
Takes strength from the sun
And life from the soil only

Lonely flower standing head high
Wating for a soul to pass by
To shower her with rain so
She won't feel weak and die!

In the Arms Of An Angel

.

Spend all your time waiting for that second chance
For the break that will make it ok
There's always some reason to feel not good enough
And it's hard at the end of the day
I need some distraction oh beautiful release
Memories seep from my veins
They may be empty and weightless and maybe
I'll find some peace tonight

In the arms of an Angel fly away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

So tired of the straight line, and everywhere you turn
There's vultures and thieves at your back
The storm keeps on twisting, you keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack
It don't make no difference, escaping one last time
It's easier to believe
In this sweet madness, oh this glorious sadness
That brings me to my knees

In the arms of an Angel far away from here
From this dark, cold hotel room, and the endlessness that you fear
You are pulled from the wreckage of your silent reverie
In the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

You're in the arms of an Angel; may you find some comfort here

Wishes..

Dear Diary,

Would you care to listen to my wishes?

- I wish you were here.
- I wish life was a bit easier
- I wish people would stop hating each other
- … and envying one another.
- I wish they were as kind as I believed they were when I was a kid.
- I wish the weather is always this nice.
- I wish I could stop the things I like from changing.
- I wish I could make a difference.
- I wish I was a poet.
- I wish I had a car-driving license.
- I wish I was wiser.
- I wish I could reach my father when I need him.
- I wish I could reach him now!
- I wish I could undo the things I shouldn't have done.
- I wish I *really* learn from my mistakes.
- I wish I get a job soooooon.
- I wish I could get the perfect job that suits my potentials.
- I wish I wasn't this stubborn.
- I wish I could go to the gym.
- I wish I could get those small things that I want.
- I wish I was more independent
- I wish my mother would start treat me like a responsible girl.
- I wish I'd work abroad.
- .. live abroad.
- I wish I wasn't a chicken
- I wish I could be easy to be understood.
- I wish I was more open and clear.
- I wish I wasn't this shy.
- I wish I could speak freely.
- I wish I could attend Formula-1 race for once in my life!
- I wish people could get how exciting F-1 racing is.
- I wish I could drive Ferrari's F1 car.
- I wish I could go to Egypt one more time.
- I wish I could go to Mecca *3omrah* now!
- I wish I could be a better person.
- I wish I don't dream a lot
- I wish I don't stay up late everyday.
- I wish I knew what I want..
- .. and what I want to be in the future.
- I wish I could make my dreams come true
- .. even the unrealistic ones.
- I wish I had a sixth sense!
- I wish I speak fluent French.
- .. and Spanish..
- .. and German..
- .. and Italian.
- I wish I could stop on searching.
- I wish I could remember what I'm searching for!
- I wish ...

A letter to A Terrorist (Part 2)

I wonder how you think. I wonder how your mind works. It's not enough that the world is already messed up, but you are adding misery to its misery! There are many ways for you to contribute in making this world a better place, but you chose the most destructive way. Your way of curing this world is unethical, immoral, illogical, and above all it's a sin. You chose revenge; that's not ethical, it's not moral, it's not logical, and it's a crime. You aim to conquer the enemies of Islam using the fascist ways. This is not jihad; it's not even related to Islam, not in ways and attitude, not in means, not even in goal.

There are million of ways for you to protect Islam -if that IS your goal- other than violence and aggressiveness. You will never reach what you want this way. Use your mind and think for awhile, how is killing innocent people going to help? Do you think that when you are killing yourself you are actually taking revenge and it's actually making a difference? That's not true, because the only one who's losing is you; moreover you are bringing shame to great Islam. So think again and take a look at the road you chose. See if it is legitimate. See if it is constructive not destructive. And then you will realize the truth, but only if you open up your eyes and mind.

We must help each other and take each other by the hand for a better peaceful future. Well, that might be out of reach for now, but what if each of us tried to help the other. Be friends, try to understand their deepest thoughts, and be close to them so that they do not get influenced to be involved in such extremist acts whatsoever. You and I could make a difference, and all of us could help building a better future. You and I can help some people, and those could help others too, till there's unity and harmony. No matter what our religion or background is, we are all humans and deserve to live in peace and in safe environments.
